Japan 365
ENTER THE WORLD OF JAPAN 365: Drawing-A-Day Project
J Muzacz, currently needing less and giving more, drawn images inspired by life in Japan, straight from a sleepy little fishing village by the sea…
What is JAPAN 365?
Three-hundred-sixty-five pictures drawn with normal ballpoint pens, one picture for every day of 2011 (January 1st-December 31st). Subjects range from famous people in Japanese history to current events, ancient straw huts to cute old ladies wearing straw hats, Tokyo skyscrapers, current events like Tohoku disaster relief and radiation worries,
Bento food, wild plants, endangered animals, birds, remakes of classic Ukiyo-e & Manga by great artists Hokusai & Kuniyoshi, graffiti, famous architecture, pop culture, beautiful landscapes, music festivals, robots, rice…
Why 365?
To share my humble interpretations of the splendid beauty and mystery of a truly timeless Japan, essentially important when disastrous headlines have dominated the international media. To promote cultural exchange through images which transcend daunting language barriers. To incite and inspire future curiosity about many unique yet universal aspects of Japan, both here and worldwide. To remind Japanese of their own rich history and to contemplate every day events, as well as to educate, inspire and ultimately, published a book to give you something of substance and aesthetic appeal for your backpack, bookshelf or coffee table.

“JAPAN 365 can be a sort of timeless reminder of the diversity and beauty of Japan. A country worthy of such a commitment and dedication that in itself reflects the way these ethics are evident in most every aspect of Japanese society today.”
“To draw a picture of this caliber everyday for a year is an absurd notion. J Muzacz is creating an amazing and inspired body of work.”
“A true modern-day masterpiece; contemplative and focused in this too fast-moving age of short-attention spans, technology and the internet.”
