Spray Paint on Brick

Flint, MI

Posterized mural of hopping orange lowrider with background blending into the environment

Since 2018, I have been to Flint, Michigan every summer as part of the Public Art Project there, painting murals all over town to combat blight and provide positive, uplifting, and intriguing artwork to help turn the community around and improve the quality of everyday life for Flint residents.

This was a bonus wall due to a free day during my weeklong residency with the Flint Public Art Project. Painted on a new tire shop in the north side of town, beyond where murals typically get painted due to lack of funding. Referenced from a photo taken by Lowrider Magazine official photographer Beto Mendoza in 2010.
