Lacquered wood and neon glass tubing

This kinetic neon light piece was a collaboration with fabricators at Ion Art. A carpenter friend and I cut the wood backing, and Ion Art installed the neon glass and electronic fixtures. The simple lowrider silhouette can be lit to seemingly hop in rhythmic perfection with actual hydraulic hoppers at a car show hop contest.
