Acrylic and spray paint on brick wall

730 Court, Ishigaki, Okinawa, Japan

A destination piece in the center of town. Ishigaki Island is famous for scuba diving and the surrounding coral reef and sea life. The building in question was also slotted to become a new seafood market. I decided to paint a massive mysterious King of the Deep, the elusive pink octopus, with the hopes that it would spur enthusiasm for the new fish market and become a call to action for the small town's local economy.
