Reflections at Lake Austin Spa Resort

After many design iterations, we landed on this composition, an abstract flowing freeform mosaic landscape to complement the hills and lake beyond. And with the trust of Lake Austin Spa Resort’s owner, Mike McAdams, my team and I rendered this nearly 70 ft wall with colors and glazes curated specifically to mimic shimmering water, trees in all four seasons, and all phases of the sky and sunsets. Custom porcelain made by my good friend and frequent collaborator Hope Hummingbird were stamped with names of staff, friends and family important to Lake Austin Spa Resort’s 25 years in business. I am thrilled with how this project turned out, and it was an honor to add beauty to the already stunning landscape.
