Back to the Bricks

8ft x 70ft, 2019

Spray paint and acrylic on wall

Coleridge St. Warehouse, Flint, MI

Pink and teal mural of a vintage car with graphic background

I painted Back to the Bricks over one week during the Free City Mural Festival in Flint, Michigan, sponsored by Flint Public Art and Kobra paint. The cars depicted are reminiscent of the old days when Flint was a busy automotive manufacturing hub (much like Detroit to the north), and paying homage to the annual Back to the Bricks classic car show that still happens every year right in the neighboring parking lot and all up and down this street in south Flint.

Long pink and blue mural of vintage cars on a background of polka dots and scribbles
