Nature’s Treasures, Austin, TX

Nature’s Treasures has been an Austin staple for decades, known for its wide selection of crystals and iconic signage. With the relocation of their storefront, the new location needed a mural as bold and imaginative as the store itself.

Created in close collaboration with founder Karen Richards, who envisioned this concept in a vivid dream, the artwork brings to life a fantastical crystal-covered landscape set on an otherworldly terrain. A triumphant T-Rex roams across shimmering crystal mountains and a gleaming, gemstone-studded tree, while a flowing river winds beneath the watchful gaze of Earth and Moon in the sky.

This cosmic scene captures the spirit of Nature’s Treasures: playful, awe-inspiring, and deeply rooted in the natural (and supernatural) world.
