3. Need Less Give More: Hoodies & Tanks

Need Less Give More Hoodies | $70 $60
Need Less Give More Tanks | $35 $30

Over the years, my mantra Need Less Give More has come to embody an ethos of treading lightly on this earth and tempering our material needs with a more community-oriented mindset. On this edition, I took this message and added a drippy spray overlay on the back with my GIVE handstyle on the front. Its vibrant 6-color design was printed beautifully at Kong, here in Austin, Texas.

4. Limited Edition Art Prints

Large 24 inch prints | $60
Medium 16 inch prints | $40
Come see the full print show at 2324 Studios and pick which print you’d like in person!

For East Austin Studio Tour, I made prints of some of my recent artworks, including We All Ride which was created by hundreds of community volunteers, Santa Cruz (Jim Phillips Tribute) with a skateboarder doing a trick mid-air, and Reflections inspired by the beautiful Lake Austin landscape. Only 7 prints were made of each design, and they’re all signed and numbered by myself as well as by photographer Tony Moreno on his beautiful photos.

5. Life is Sweet Children’s Book

Life is Sweet: The Story of a Sugarcane Field by J Muzacz | $20

I wrote Life is Sweet after working the traditional sugarcane harvest on Ishigaki Island, inspired by the farmer's way of life and protecting our precious natural environment. The book is bilingual in Japanese and English, and it’s a generous 60 pages long — perfect for a few nights of storytime with the kiddos. The detailed illustrations of cute critters, farmers, and the harvesting process will have even the adults excited to read more.

6. Tools of the Trade: Spray Can Mosaic Art

Tools of the Trade Mosaic | Price and Availability Upon Request

These mosaics honor the early decades using spray cans in my street art and murals, now bringing it into my mosaic practice by rendering these tools of the trade in glass tile. In an ongoing series of a dozen and counting, these pop-art mosaics are all one-of-one handmade creations that will last a LONG time. The result is a visually striking and one-of-a-kind statement that will quickly become a conversation starter and daily inspiration.

7. Japan 365: A Drawing-A-Day Project

Japan 365 by J Muzacz | $30

In 2011, I embarked on a Drawing-A-Day Project, creating artwork with nothing but a ballpoint pen and my sketchbook every day while living, working, and traveling in Japan. At the end of the year, I compiled them into Japan 365, along with stories and history of the area in both English and Japanese. Illustrations range from beautiful landscapes to scenes of unsettling tsunami aftermath, women wearing kimono to unfinished old faces.
